The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas

Berlin, 1942. When nine-year-old Bruno gets home from school one day, he finds his belongings being packed up in crates. His father has received a promotion, and the family must move to a new house far away, where there is no-one to play with and nothing to do. loved it

This book is an excellent book, and after reading it, I immediately started finding out about the other books which he has written. The Dare, is also a tremendous book! The Boy in Striped Pyjamas is set during the Second World War.

loved it

This book was INCREDIBLE! I read it with my english class and whilst we were reading i burst out crying! Its such a serious book about such a tragic event yet john boyne manages to add a little humour to the book. The most amazing book i have ever read i give it 10out of 10!!! I am now reading it for a third time!

The boy in the striped pyjamas is about a boy called Bruno and he moves house and he findes a secret path to a concentration camp and he meets a boy and he was a jew and the secretly become friends when they’re not supposed to and it was very good but in the end the boy in the camp’s father was took to a place to be killed but he didn’t know and Bruno digs a hole to get into the camp… [spoiler!]
