The night after a shooting star is seen streaking through the sky from Mars, a strange metal cylinder is discovered on Horsell Common in London. Curious locals approach the cylinder, desperate for a closer look – and are fried alive by a sizzling heat-ray as terrifying tentacled aliens emerge! Soon the entire human race is under threat. In their gigantic metal killing machines which spurt poison gas and burning rays, the merciless Martians destroy all in their path, while feasting on the warm blood of human prey. It seems that all is lost. Can the forces of Earth find a way to fight back?
